course is designed to help English Language Learners (ELL) attain low-intermediate-level reading and listening skills in order to understand more clearly and communicate more effectively in English.

Demonstrate increased vocabulary and idiom knowledge.
Prepare and participate in academic discussions and presentations.
Distinguish between formal and informal language.
Analyze differences between American culture and native culture.
