Write simple sentences and questions.
Identify and begin to use correct punctuation and capitalization.
Practice changing singular nouns to plural.
Recognize and identify articles.
Replace nouns with pronouns.
Practice writing sentences using regular, select irregular, and modal verbs in the simple present and past tense.
Recognize and use correct subject/verb/object word order in sentences and questions.
Recall and use new words.
Write, draft and edit new sentences.
Show evidence of audience in different writing tasks.
